Celebrating Inclusion Through the Joy of Dance.

Dance has a unique way of bringing people together. Through movement, music and shared experiences, it can create connection, build confidence and help people feel a strong sense of belonging.

That spirit will be celebrated when the 5th Annual Special comes to Bunbury.

The event will bring together dancers of all abilities for an afternoon of performance, creativity and celebration. Spectator entry is free, and community members are encouraged to come along, support the dancers and enjoy an inclusive event filled with encouragement and connection.

More than a competition, the event is an opportunity for dancers to express themselves, develop new skills, build friendships and take pride in their achievements.

Inclusive DanceSport creates space for people with disability to participate, perform and be recognised for their talent, dedication and creativity. It is also a reminder of the importance of ensuring sport and recreation are welcoming, accessible and shaped so everyone has the opportunity to take part.

The competition will feature a wide range of Ability Dance events, including ballroom, street dance, theatre arts, specialty performances, solos, duos, couples and team events.

Each performance will reflect the individuality and creativity of the dancers while showcasing the positive impact that inclusive sport and recreation can have across the community.

Audiences will also be able to enjoy Vision Impaired DanceSport displays. These performances will feature graceful standard dances such as the waltz, tango and quickstep, alongside energetic Latin favourites including samba, cha cha cha and rumba.

The program will also include Australian New Vogue dances such as the Merrilyn, Tangoette and Gypsy Tap.

Events like the 5th Annual Special show what is possible when people are given genuine opportunities to participate, connect and be celebrated for what they bring.
