Bunbury Timezome Hosts Free Inclusive Family Event
Families in Bunbury are invited to enjoy an afternoon of fun, connection and community at a special inclusive event at Timezone Bunbury.
Organised by What Ability Foundation in partnership with Rio Tinto, the event will provide a welcoming and accessible space for people with disability and their families to enjoy activities together.
The event will take place on Tuesday 25 August, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, with two hours of unlimited entertainment available for participants.
Guests will be able to enjoy arcade games, bowling and laser tag, with activities available for a range of ages and interests. Participants will also receive a return arcade voucher, giving them another opportunity to visit and enjoy the venue.
Inclusive recreation is about more than simply being able to access a venue. It is about creating spaces where people feel welcome, supported and able to participate in ways that work for them.
Events like this can provide opportunities for people with disability and their families to connect with others, build confidence, enjoy new experiences and feel part of their local community.
They also show the value of partnerships between community organisations and businesses in creating more inclusive opportunities across the region.
When recreation and community spaces are designed with inclusion in mind, more people can take part, build friendships and create positive memories together.
This event is free to attend, however places are limited. Families who would like to participate are encouraged to register early.
